"A Deeply Disappointing Experience — Longtime Customer Betrayed by Richard Galt’s State Farm Agency After decades with Richard Galt’s State Farm office, I feel compelled to share what happened — because if I can prevent even one person from signing up with this agency, it will be worth it. I held both a term life insurance policy and a supplemental hospital income policy, paying $37/month for years with almost no claims (maybe 3 or 4 over 20+ years). Then I had a serious injury that put me in the hospital for 8 days. I received just $1,300 in benefits — not even enough to cover basic costs. But the insult came later: State Farm raised my premium to $100/month — a 50%+ increase, less than two months after my hospital stay. This isn’t just disappointing — it’s predatory. It sends a clear message: as soon as you use the coverage you’ve been paying for, they’ll punish you. When I called the office to discuss it, I was met with rudeness and indifference from someone named Madeline. She didn’t care that I was canceling. And so I did. I’m a local firefighter/paramedic residing in Coral Springs since 2001. I interact with thousands of people — patients, nurses, doctors, and friends — both professionally and socially. I’m now making it a point to warn every single one of them about this agency and how it treats loyal customers. There are far better options out there. Avoid Richard Galt’s State Farm office. Get AFLAC or another provider that values your business and doesn’t raise your premium just for using your coverage."
